About Elder Holt

About Me

I am 18 years old, and I am currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Las Vegas Nevada.  I love my family!  I have one brother and two sisters.  I love all kinds of sports and athletics. I especially love to play soccer and tennis, mostly with my brother or my friends. I always enjoy just being outside and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have truly learned for myself that this Gospel is true, and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. In the Book of Mormon, it talks of a promise written by a prophet of God, which says that you can personally ask God, our Eternal Father, if the things written in the Book of Mormon are true, having a real intent to know of the truth, and having faith that you will receive that truth, then He will witness the truth of it unto us. And I have done that for myself, and by so doing, I will never be able to deny the fact that I KNOW that this gospel is true. Every teaching is true. The Scriptures are all true. The Book of Mormon can truly change your life, in the most amazing way possible. It will bring everlasting happiness to your life if you read of it, and heed its teachings.

How I live my faith

In my church ward, I help serve other in my ward, by doing things such as giving our church ordinances to those who aren't able to come to church due to health issues. I also help others by going and visiting members of our ward who are lonely, need some extra help at the time, or just need a visit. I try to help others to be happy, and I've found one of the best ways to do that is to be happy yourself. When I'm happy and positive, I see that others around me tend to be more happy and positive as well.
